Jouhanahikiyama Kaikan

Jouhana-machi situated at the western part of Toyama prefecture merged into Nanto city in 2004 with its border on Ishikawa prefecture at the west and on Gifu prefecture at the south.Onece you see the decorated float of Jouhana, you will be captivated at the beauty. Elegant and solem float replete with traditional chic Jouhana coating is permanently displayed in this hall. Lighting changes every few minutes in the hall so that people can simulatively experience the night of the festival. The float festival is on screen in a lobby. Jouhana festival is Jouhana Shinmeigu's festival held on the both days of 4th and 5th on May. It is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Getting Here Johanahikiyama Kaikan is 15 minutes' walk from JR Jouhana station on JR Jouhana Line. It's 5 minutes' drive on Route 304 toward Jouhana from "Fukumitsu IC" on Tokai Hokuriku Expressway.
