Nora dokei(stray clock)

Nora dokei(stray clock)

A clock tower installed on the roof of Aki tiles, a symbol of Aki City.
This was made in the middle of the Meiji era when watches were still rare in Japan, Genma Hatanaka, who was 11 years old at the time, became very interested in watches because his father, who was a landowner, bought him an octagonal wall clock made in the United States, It is said that the clock was made all by himself from parts over a dozen years.
